It's official.  Paducah is getting its first Five Guys, and several other well known restaurants on the same tract of land.

A new development is under construction called Sanders Corner, on the site of the former El Chico Restaurant on Hinkleville Road in Paducah.

Quattro Development LLC of Oak Brook, Illinois has created the new 9,800 square foot retail space, according to a news release by Kentucky Oaks Mall.  Tenants will include Qdoba, Jimmy John’s and Five Guys Burgers and Fries.   Qdoba is owned by parent company, Jack In The Box, and Paducah currently has one Jimmy John's location near the Hannon Shopping Plaza in Midtown.

This is the first Five Guys in the Paducah/Cape Girardeau/Carbondale region.  The closest other locations are in Clarksville, Tennessee, Evansville, Indiana- Owensboro, and St. Louis.

The Qdoba is being developed by Tony Page (the original owner/operator of El Chico), who currently operates the Qdoba in Murray. Jay Page will own and operate the Jimmy John’s mall location, according to a news release by JJ's of Kentucky, LLC.

Lease negotiations are underway with a fourth tenant, says the mall, with a popular national name in food service. It remains to be seen if the fourth unnamed tenant will be a highly rumored stand alone Starbucks. Currently a Starbucks location is inside the mall adjacent to the new development.

The new eateries will open for business in early 2018, according to the release.
