Enjoy Extra Dining Offerings during Quilt Week

When our town doubles its population, "It takes a village" to feed everyone. For 28 years, it's been a Paducah tradition for local churches and other non-profit organizations to open their doors and prepare special meals to share some of the town's best recipes and lots of great southern hospitality. This year is no exception. In addition, some of the restaurants are extending their hours to accommodate the quilters. We've started a list of those offerings below and will add to it as we learn of more: 

Quilter's Food Fest on the Parking Lot at the Julian Carroll Convention Center 
Wednesday thru Saturday 10 am - 5 pm
Dine outdoors on picnic tables and enjoy food from Whaler's Catch, Starnes BBQ, The Boy Scouts with their popular Strawberry Shortcake,  Elvis and Rudy's Carnival Food,  Bear on the Air with his surprise treats, Bob's Drive-In, Neil's Catering with taco salad and more, James cooking his Larry Darrell & Darrell's famous BBQ, Patti's 1880's Restaurant....

California Chicken Salad at Grace Lunch & Church Tour - Friday
Grace Episcopal, 800 Broadway, is preparing lunch on Friday. It's California Chicken Salad! You can make reservations now for the Grace Episcopal Church Quilt Luncheon by calling 502-220-2669 for either the 11:15 am or 12:15 pm seating. Take-out and delivery are also available. Take-out must have reservations by Wednesday. Outdoor seating will be available, weather permitting. Tours of the church will also be offered.

Hotel Metropolitan Fish Fry-Friday
From 11 am until 4 pm, you can eat your fill of delicious fried fish and all the fixins at the Hotel Metropolitan, 724 Oscar Cross Dr. The plate is only $8.

Taste of Paducah Dinner - Friday
Pulled pork dinner for $9 and quilt display at First Presbyterian Church, 200 North 7th St. Seatings at 5 and 7 pm. 270-442-3545

Fountain Avenue UMC Dinner - Saturday
Entre, salad and dessert $10. Serving 4 - 8 pm. Reservations required for groups of 10 or more. 270-443-1724

Texas Roadhouse-Open for Lunch - All Week
Texas Roadhouse will be open for lunch while the quilters are in town. Tuesday, April 24th through Sunday, April 29th starting at 11am their staff will be ready and waiting to serve visitors and locals.
