Lourdes HomeCare recently received a grant from the Ray & Kay Eckstein Charitable Trust. The grant was gifted in honor of HomeCare physical therapy assistant (PTA), LaDonna Campbell for the outstanding care she provided to Kay Eckstein.

According to members of the Eckstein family, their mother always looked forward to LaDonna’s homecare visits.  “LaDonna is energetic and enthusiastic which helped to motivate our mother during a difficult time.  The family is grateful for her compassionate care and commitment to homecare patients.”

“Mrs. Kay was an amazing lady and it was an honor to get to be a part of her rehab,” says LaDonna Campbell.  “She always worked so hard and her husband, Ray, cheered her on every day. I've never seen a more supportive and loving family.”

The money will be used to purchase balance pads for homecare therapists, e-stim machines, and an education program for providers and family members caring for patients with dementia, and similar diseases, in the home environment.

Campbell also received the Honored Caregiver award, given to Lourdes employees who receive a donation made in their honor to the Lourdes Foundation. She has worked at Lourdes for 12 years.
