Driver Injured in Cairo Road Collision

A rear-end collision Tuesday afternoon on Cairo Road injured one driver.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, the accident happened about 3:50 pm at the intersection of Cairo Road and Pullen Lane. 

Deputies say 38-year-old Bishop Warren of Melber was eastbound on Cairo Road and stopped in traffic. The other eastbound driver, 38-year-old Jeremy Liverett of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, told deputies he looked away for a moment and was unable to avoid a collision.

Warren was taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
