The McCracken County Sheriff's Department was called to the 600 block of Sheehan Bridge Road, and found a car on its roof in a ditch. Deputies determined that 65-year-old Pamela Rooney of Reidland was unable to negotiate a curve and the vehicle went into the ditch. The car rolled twice before it stopped on its roof, and Rooney was briefly trapped in the vehicle.
Reidland-Farley Fire Department personnel freed her from the wreckage, and Rooney was taken to an area hospital for treatment of what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
One lane of Sheehan Bridge Road was closed for about 30 minutes while the scene was cleared.
