Former Barbecue on the River Executive Director David Boggs, who was arrested last week in South Carolina after disappearing from the Paducah area for 18 months, has waived extradition back to Kentucky.

The Lexington County, SC Jail confirmed Monday afternoon that Boggs is waiting to be picked up and taken back to McCracken County to face theft charges.

It's unclear which agency will go pick up Boggs and transport him back to the McCracken County Jail.

Boggs is charged with stealing more than $24,000 from Barbecue on the River accounts. He reportedly used the money to pay a scammer who threatened to expose lewd pictures that Boggs sent to someone the scammer told him was an underage person.
