When the team at Four Rivers Harley-Davidson in Paducah decided to enter the 2016 Custom Kings competition, they had no idea the decision would lead them to helping individuals with disabilities. But, when the build was complete and the contest was over (their entry placed second in the nation-wide battle) they knew they had an opportunity to do something really good with their stunning creation.

“We had heard of Cassidy’s Cause (Therapeutic Riding Academy) and the amazing work they are doing with the special needs community. We also knew that 100% of the donations they get actually stay in their program, and that’s important to us” says Four Rivers’ Lynda Peter-Jones. Lynda reached out to Cassidy’s Cause Executive Director, Angie Falconite about the possibility of raffling off the custom motorcycle as a fundraiser. “We almost couldn’t believe they wanted to bless our program with this opportunity. This is huge!”

What came next, no one expected. Cassidy’s Cause Development Director, Jennifer Smith explains “When the owner of the new Polaris dealership (currently being built next to Four Rivers Harley-Davidson) heard what was happening, he decided to sweeten the pot. A LOT. Now we are not only raffling this one-of-a-kind Harley, we have a 2017 Polaris RZR 1000XP as a second prize.” It didn’t stop there. West Kentucky Golf Carts thought they’d get in on the action and donate a 2016 Express S4 EZ-Go Golf Cart as third prize. “That’s really like having 3 Grand Prizes, if you ask me!” Smith says.

About the motorcycle:
Custom Kings finalist “Go Dammit” started out as a stock XL883N Iron 883 Sportster. Unlike many others in the competition, the team insisted on maintaining 100% HD parts & accessories with FRHD fabrication and modifications for the build. The machine features a special Ostrich upholstered seat with orange & white stitching, silverleaf painting and an autograph by Willie G. It truly is one-of-a-kind.

About Cassidy’s Cause:
Cassidy's Cause is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Paducah, Kentucky whose mission is to provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to grow and develop through therapeutic, educational and recreational activities, while on a horse.

The drawing for all three raffle prizes will be held during a grand celebration hosted by Four Rivers Harley-Davidson on May 20, 2017. Participants do not need to be present to win. For more information, and to purchase tickets, visit www.cassidyscause.org/saddleupraffle.
