Nobody was injured in a collision Tuesday morning on Alben Barkley Drive.

According to Paducah Police, the accident happened about 9:15 am, when 29-year-old Larry M. Irby of Barnhart, Missouri was westbound on Alben Barkley Drive. He said his GPS distracted him and he didn't realize his traffic light had turned red.

As Irby came into the intersection with Jack Paxton Drive, his SUV was struck in the passenger side by a semi tractor-trailer driven by 79-year-old Walter C. Butler of Walnut, Mississippi. Butler was pulling onto Jack Paxton Drive from the I-24 off-ramp.

The collision caused the SUV to flip onto its side. Police say nobody was injured in the accident.

Alben Barkley Drive was closed until the scene could be cleared, which was just before 10 am.
