According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, the collision happened around 2 pm on US 68 at the Exit 16 off ramp. Deputies say 86-year-old Helen Binning, of Gurnee, IL, was exiting and attempting to cross over US 68, when her vehicle crossed into the path of another vehicle driven by 44-year-old Daphne Keller, of Metropolis, IL.
The two vehicles collided. Binning was transported to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries.
