Rhodes has been a ceramicist for 50 years. His studio in Southern Illinois is on the edge of the Shawnee National Forest. Retired from teaching he devotes his time to working in his ceramic studio. Rhodes' new work is a compilation of everything he has learned throughout his life. His work stands out because many of the techniques he uses are unorthodox.
Rhodes' creations will be on exhibit and for sale at Ruth Baggett Gallery, 1025 Jefferson St. in Paducah, through December 24. The show and sale will be open to the public Monday - Friday 4:00 - 7:00 pm, Saturdays 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and on Sundays 1:00 - 5:00 pm. December 21 - 24 the gallery will be open from 10 - 5 pm.
