Cow in Road Leads to I-24 Collision

A cow in the road led to a crash on Interstate 24 Thursday afternoon that left two people injured.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, the wreck happened around 3:45 pm in the area of I-24 westbound at the two mile marker. Deputies said a McCracken County Animal Control vehicle, driven by 58-year-old Kathryn Coleman of Paducah, was struck by another vehicle while attempting to corral a cow that was running on the interstate. The other vehicle involved was driven by 70-year-old Eugene Campian of Jamestown, NC.

Coleman and Campian were transported to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
