City Reminds Residents to Participate in Census

The City of Paducah is reminding residents to participate in this year's census.

Paducah Public Information Officer Pam Spencer said that as of Thursday 58.4 percent of Paducah residents had filled out their census forms. This compares with a 60.7 percent response rate in McCracken County.

Spencer said there are a few census tracts in Paducah that are currently at less than 50 percent. She asked everyone to complete their forms and ask anyone they know to complete theirs as well.

Spencer reminded residents that the census results decide how Paducah will receive federal funds for the next 10 years.
