City Releases Holiday Trash Collection Schedule

The City of Paducah has released its Thanksgiving holiday schedule for trash, recycling and compost collection.

Public Information Officer Pam Spencer says there will be no residential trash collection on Thanksgiving or the day after. Thanksgiving’s routes will be done on Wednesday, November 22 along with the normal Wednesday routes. Friday's routes will be done on Monday, November 27. There will be no leaf or brush collection on Monday, November 27. 
 
The recycling drop-off facility located at Freedom Waste (400 State Street) will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. The normal schedule for the facility is Monday through Friday from 7 am until 3:30 pm, and Saturday from 8 am until noon. There is no charge for the public to drop off recyclables.  
 
The City of Paducah Compost Facility located at 1560 North 8th Street will be closed Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving. It will reopen Saturday, November 25. The regular operating schedule for the Compost Facility is Monday through Saturday, 7 am-3 pm.

City Hall, at 300 South 5th Street will be closed November 23 and 24.
