The City of Paducah has approved a $175,000 grant for 911 services,

At their meeting Tuesday, the mayor and commissioners approved  a municipal order to accept the grant. The money will be used to help fund the replacement of aging telephone equipment used by the 911 Communications Services Department.

There was no discussion of exactly how or when the money would be dispersed. The grant is a municipal order, and those fall under the consent agenda. Items that appear on consent portion of the agenda are considered routine, and can be passed with one vote.
