Christmas in the Park Raises Record Donations

PADUCAH, KY - The 2016 Christmas in the Park light display raised a record amount of donations for local families and food pantries. 

Paducah Power System Director of Community Relations & Marketing Andrea Underwood said this year's campaign collected $43,752 this holiday season, a record amount for the program.

In addition to the cash donations, 66,893 pounds of canned goods were collected in Noble Park, and at local schools.

Over the past 20 years Christmas in the Park has raised a total of $618,899, and has collected 823,943 pounds of food.

Donations will be distributed between Paducah Cooperative Ministry, Family Service Society, The Salvation Army and St. Vincent DePaul.
