A local restaurant has quickly re-opened after passing a follow-up health inspection.

Chin Restuarant at 3470 James Sanders Boulevard was closed down Thursday by the Purchase District Health Department after getting a score of 56 on their inspection.

Joel Barrett, Environmental Health Program Manager for the Purchase District Health Department, told West Kentucky Star the restaurant called Friday morning to request another inspection, and they passed. The restaurant re-opened at 4 pm.

Barrett said since it was temporarily closed, the restaurant must display their "B" grade near the entrance until their next normal inspection. For more details on how the grades are given, click the link below.
