Charges against a former teacher at McCracken County High School were officially dropped Thursday after he completed a diversion agreement.

Daniel Edwards, who taught math at the school, plead guilty in June to a harassing communications charge under the agreement, which diverted his sentence if he stayed out of trouble for six months, kept away from the victim and paid court costs.

Edwards was charged in February after an investigation into a former student's claim that he asked for nude pictures during the summer of 2018, after the student had graduated.
