One of the charges against McCracken County High School Principal Michael Ceglinski has been dropped.

Court records show one count of failure to report child dependency, neglect or abuse against Ceglinski was dismissed in McCracken County District Court on Thursday. That charge was brought against him in relation to an investigation involving a student accused of illegally recording sexual acts by a minor. McCracken County Director of Pupil Personnel Brian Bowland was also charged in that case, but the charge against him was also later dropped.

Ceglinski is still charged with a single count of failure to report child dependency, neglect or abuse stemming from allegations that he did not notify police immediately after learning about possible abuse by the school's former fishing coach John Parks.

Ceglinski's trial has been scheduled for April 12.
