By West Kentucky Star Staff
MARION - A Caldwell County man who was arrested earlier this month on sex offenses involving a child now faces several more charges.

The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch charged 46-year-old William Guill on Thursday with fifteen counts of second-degree rape, one count of second-degree sodomy, six counts of third-degree rape, and two counts of third-degree sodomy.

Guill was arrested on March 2 after an undercover investigation reportedly revealed he had been engaging in sexually explicit communication with a child online. He was originally charged with promoting a minor (under 16) in a sexual performance, one count of prohibited use of electronic communication system to procure a minor and distribution of obscene matter to minors.

Investigators said after the initial arrest, information developed during the investigation resulted in the additional charges.

Guill is being held at the Crittenden County Detention Center.
