According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, the crash happened shortly after 8 pm in the 6700 block of Cairo Road. Deputies said 37-year-old Sonia Owen, of West Paducah, was traveling west on Cairo Road near the intersection of Gayle Lane preparing to turn into a local business.
As Owen was waiting for oncoming traffic to clear, police said her vehicle was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Javen Bell, also of West Paducah.
Owen was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital for further treatment of her injuries.
