A two vehicle collision in McCracken County Wednesday resulted in five people being taken to a local hospital.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, the crash happened at approximately 5:30 pm at the intersection of Cairo Road and Ogden Landing Road. Deputies said 42-year-old Jarric Hendrix, of Madisonville, was eastbound on Ogden Landing Road when he stopped at the stop sign at Cairo Road.

Due to his view being obstructed, police said he did not see another vehicle driven by 52-year-old Wayna Manypenny, of Paducah. Hendrix pulled into her path, causing the vehicles to collide head on.

Hendrix, Manypenny and her three passengers, 17-year-old Christopher Sieczka, 16-year-old Excalibur Walker, and 14 year-old Hunter Staggs, were all transported by Mercy Regional EMS to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.
