A Paducah Police Department Detective has been investigating multiple crimes at homes on Paducah's south side dating back to October. After the arrest of Deshawn Woods on Thursday, police searched his home and say they found electronic devices that had been reported stolen at other homes. Police also say Woods pawned several items of jewelry, electronics, and yard equipment at various local pawnshops.
Police believe Woods has stolen items valued at nearly $7,000 from area homes. As a result, he has been charged with four counts of receiving stolen property under $10,000 and one count of receiving stolen property under $500.
Woods was arrested for burglary Thursday after a woman caught him inside her home on Walter Jetton Boulevard. He remains in McCracken County Jail.
