Buckner Lane Standoff Ends, Man in Custody

 A standoff between police and a man in a home has ended and the man is in custody. 

The Paducah Police Department says they responded Monday morning to a disturbance in the area of Buckner Lane at Sycamore Street. They say the man was reportedly armed, and officers spent several hours trying to communicate with him. They were able to resolve the situation and take the man into custody.

Buckner Lane, which had been closed between Sycamore Street and Friedman Lane, reopened about 5:45 pm. 

Police say no further information will be released until Tuesday morning.
