The Republican Party of McCracken County has chosen a candidate to run for Property Valuation Administrator.

Bill Dunn filed registration papers Tuesday to run for the office.

Dunn ran for the office in 2014 and lost by just over 1,100 votes to former PVA Nancy Bock.

In a press release, Dunn said his qualifications include more than 11 years as a realtor and business owner, a Masters of Business Administration degree, 22 years managing large amounts of information at VCI Internet Services (now e-Tel), and manager of VCI Classifieds. He is a decorated veteran of the US Navy and a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Paducah class #26.

Dunn said he hopes residents of the county will again consider his qualifications for the office.

"I am extremely excited about this opportunity. I understand my first year in office will require a lot of hard work. I have my sleeves rolled up and am ready for the work ahead. I ask for your vote allowing me to begin the hard work," Dunn said.
