Bicyclist Charged After Being Struck by Vehicle

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY - A Paducah man faces charges after his bicycle was struck by a vehicle Thursday night.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department was notified at approximately 7:45 pm about a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in the 3700 block of Clarks River Road.  According to deputies, 61-year-old Randall Reed, of Paducah, was on a bicycle, failed to yield the right of way and pulled out in front of a vehicle.  

Police said Reed was struck by a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Aaron Greene, of Paducah.

Deputies determined that Reed was under the influence of intoxicants. Reed was transported by Mercy Regional EMS to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was cited for multiple charges related to the collision.
