Paducah's Barkley Regional Airport will receive a grant to help pay for updates to the facility.

In a press release, Congressman James Comer's office announced a grant in the amount of $1.88 million to fund several projects at the airport. These include security enhancements and the rehabilitation of more than 8,000 feet of taxiways. This grant will also fund the replacement of 90 airfield guidance signs and an update for the existing master plan study to show current and future needs of the airport.

"I'm pleased to see the Barkley Regional Airport receive this money to help continue the growth of the airport. This airport is not only important to the people of McCracken County, but several western Kentucky communities," Comer said.
