The Baptist Health Paducah Blood Drive will be held Friday, March 16, from 7 am to 4 pm in Conference Rooms A and B in the hospital.
 
The public is invited to join the Baptist Health Paducah staff and Kentucky Blood Center in saving Kentucky patient’s lives at the upcoming hospital blood drive. It is open to the public and hospital staff.
 
Everyone who registers to donate will receive a purple Donate Blood Y’all T-shirt and will also be automatically entered to win a VIP Thunder Over Louisville Prize Pack, including four tickets and a parking pass. Thunder Over Louisville is the Kentucky Derby Festival’s annual air and fireworks show on Saturday, April 21.
 
Baptist Health Paducah hosts quarterly blood drives with Kentucky Blood Center (KBC), the blood bank that provides all blood needs for the hospital. 

“Blood donated with KBC stays in Kentucky to help Kentucky patients,” said Martha Osborne, KBC’s Vice President of Marketing. “It’s wonderful that Baptist Health Paducah supports our life-saving mission which assists them in their mission of providing care for the Paducah community.”

To make an appointment or for more information, visit kybloodcenter.org or call 800.775-2522, ext. 3758. Blood donors must be at least 17-years-old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. Donors must also show a photo I.D. with first and last name, like a state-issued driver’s license. Sixteen-year-old donors must have a signed parental permission slip, which can be found at kybloodcenter.org. 

Celebrating 50 years of saving lives in Kentucky, KBC is the largest independent, full-service, non-profit blood center in Kentucky. Licensed by the FDA, KBC’s sole purpose is to collect, process and distribute blood for patients in Kentucky. KBC provides services in 90 Kentucky counties and has donor centers in Lexington, Louisville, Pikeville and Somerset.
