Bank Robbery Reported Friday in Paducah

FNB Bank at 7th and Jefferson Streets in Paducah was robbed Friday. 

According to Paducah Police, the crime occurred at 2:20 pm, when a man entered the bank, walked behind the counter, and demanded money from the teller. 

Witnesses say the suspect did not show a weapon or threaten use of one. The also told police he did not carry a bag, and left the bank on foot with an undetemined amount of cash. The suspect was last spotted walking west along Jefferson St.

The suspect is described as a white male between 5'11"-6'2" tall, weighing approximately 200 lbs. The bank's surveillance cameras captured an image of him, and he was last seen wearing a light-colored long-sleeved shirt, dark pants, jersey gloves, and dark colored shoes. He was wearing a mask or face covering while in the bank.

Officers canvassed the area for almost two hours, searching for the suspect. They also interviewed local residents and employees. 

Around 4:00 pm, the investigation shifted from patrol officers to detectives, since many people in the area at the time of the crime were already gone or had been interviewed.
