Paducah Police now say it was an argument over a woman that led to a fight that left 36-year-old Michael C. Russian charged in the death of a man whose body, witnesses say, was being pushed along 6th and Burnett Streets in a shopping cart on Paducah's northside over the weekend.

Police were notified at 3:30 am Sunday of the man with the shopping cart. Officers say Russian and 25-year-old Adam L. Bullock of Paducah were involved in an argument Friday morning at Russian's home. The two begin to physically fight, and Bullock was killed. Paducah Police Detective Sargeant Brian Laird would not speculate on the cause of death, but did say that Bullock's body showed signs of blunt force trauma to the head and strangulation, and that an autopsy was performed Monday in Louisville.

Police contend that Russian was transporting Bullock's body to the riverfront Sunday morning in order to dispose of it, after allegedly wrapping him in a rug and placing his body in a storage unit behind his home.

Bullock's family members filed a missing persons report with the McCracken County Sheriff's Department Saturday evening, saying they had neither seen nor heard from him in several days.
