Abraham is a long-time resident of Paducah, having moved to the city with his parents in the 1970s.
In a release, he said he loves Paducah and is "grateful for the opportunity for growth and education offered in this honored office."
Abraham said he knows he represents all the citizens of Paducah. He said he will continue to encourage his fellow citizens to build each other up and to always remember the words of William Penn, who said, “right is right, even if everyone is against it and wrong is wrong, even it everyone is for it.”
Abraham is currently in his 5th consecutive term as a City Commissioner. He also served a term from 2001 to 2002.
