Major warmup into 70s this week, more rain by Thursday

After dense fog into Monday morning, a major warmup is expected Monday through Thursday this week.

High temperatures will be climbing 15 to 25 degrees above normal. That would place high temperatures in the low to mid 70s and lows in the 50s to around 60.

The next chance of showers and thunderstorms returns to the forecast Thursday into Friday. A few strong storms will be possible Thursday afternoon and evening.

The extended 8-14 outlook calls for temperatures generally above normal for the rest of February.
