Lynnville man jailed following accident at Lynnville Penecostal Church

A Lynnville man was jailed after a pickup truck was involved Thursday night in a collision on KY 94 East damaging the Lynnville Penecostat Church and a neighboring yard and left the scene.

The Graves County Sheriff's Department reported when they arrived at the scene, they found the pickup with damage.

Investigators determined 33 year old Hunt Howard struck a speed limit sign and traveled approximately 250 feet before coming back onto the roadway.  

The truck then went across both lanes of KY 94 and ran off of the left shoulder struck a mailbox, a tree and at least two headstones in the cemetery of the Lynnville Pentecostal Church before coming to rest a few feet shy of the church building.  

Howard was located at his home a short distance from the scene.    

Howard was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for medical clearance and was later transported to the Graves County RC Center and was later transported to an out of county detention center.  

Howard was charged with DUI, criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident and other traffic and misdemeanor charges.  

After a records check through NCIC, it was also determined that Howard was wanted out of Vanderburgh County, Indiana for auto theft.  

Howard was charged with being a fugitive from another state pending extradition to Indiana.
