A Hopkinsville man was arrested in connection to a stabbing incident in Paducah on Friday night.

Just after 10 p.m. Friday, Paducah Police were called to the 1600 block of Bloom Avenue after a stabbing was reported. There was no victim there when they arrived.

The injured man was located later at a local hospital. The victim told police that 40-year-old John E. Parker of Hopkinsville stabbed him during an argument. Fortunately, the injuries were non-life-threatening.

Police located Parker near the scene of the incident. He was reportedly in possession of the knife and admitted to the altercation and stabbing at the victim's home.

Parker was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
