A Hazel man was arrested on Thursday in Murray after an altercation.
Calloway County Sheriff's deputies said that 30-year-old Dallas Elkins was allegedly involved in some kind of altercation at a home in Hazel. Elkins was gone from the scene before the deputies could get there at around 10:15 p.m. They found Elkins in Murray, later, sitting in his vehicle in a parking lot off South 12th Street. During that encounter, deputies said they told Elkins to keep his hands where they could see them, but reportedly he reached for a gun. Elkins is said to have briefly pointed it at the deputy before handing it over. Deputies also said he made threats to another person.
Elkins was arrested and charged with terroristic threatening, wanton endangerment, and driving on a suspended license.
