The Graves County Fiscal Court met this week and approved to resume construction of the new administration building in early April.
The project was initially planned to be implemented in phases. The site work and foundation was completed last year, but the bidding process for Phase 3, the construction of the building itself, resulted in bids that exceeded the allocated budget.
Judge Executive Jesse Perry said the project will move forward thanks to a successful re-bidding process that resulted in substantial savings for the county.
The new building will be funded by insurance money and by State funds from HB752, without the need for tax increases or loans.
