The West Kentucky Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host its "Game Changer" banquet on Saturday, November 10 at Lone Oak First Baptist Church. Keynote speaker for the event will be retired Major League Baseball player Darryl Strawberry.

The former New York Mets and Yankees player was one of the most feared home run hitters of the game during his career. Described by many as a legend of his time, Darryl is now an ordained minister.

“I was once very lost and tormented, but now I am found and free in Christ Jesus. I want everyone to experience the saving and transforming power of Jesus Christ,” Strawberry said in a press release by FCA.

The banquet also features stories and testimonies from area athletes about how FCA is affecting how they live and compete.

Tickets for the event are $50 each. Learn more at westkyfca.org .

A reception for VIPs and sponsors will be held from 5-6 pm, followed by the meal at 6:30 pm.

Sponsorships are still available and range from $500 - $10,000. Contact Eric Grogan at 502-394-9358 or egrogan@fca.org for details.

The church is located at 3601 Lone Oak Road in Paducah.
