Scores from the fourth year of statewide testing under the new system, Kentucky Performance Rating for Educational Progress (K-PREP) are in, and several area school districts have been ranked as distinguished. 

These results are from tests that students took in May 2014. Distinguished districts are defined by the Kentucky Education Department this year as scoring 70.5 or above using KDE’s reporting system. The state’s cut-off point for distinguished high schools is 75.4 this year.

Here is a list of local schools that were ranked distinguished this year:

-Ballard County Schools

-Calloway County Schools

-Hickman County

-McCracken County Schools
