McCracken County School officials are considering remodeling Lone Oak and Heath Intermediate schools.

On Thursday afternoon, the McCracken County School Board met and discussed plans for remodeling Lone Oak and Heath Intermediate Schools. They also discussed the option of holding off on the remodels and building a brand new facility in a few years with larger classrooms and a simpler layout.

No decisions were finalized, however, the board does want to have a community meeting so families with children who attend Lone Oak and Heath can voice their opinions on how they would like to move forward.

The topic of school uniforms was also addressed. The board decided that this was another topic that they would like to hear comments from the public before finalizing any decisions.
