Murray State University has named Carrie McGinnis the new director of alumni relations. McGinnis will lead the University’s office of alumni relations, which serves as a direct link to nearly 70,000 alumni worldwide.

“Carrie’s ability to both establish and nurture relationships, combined with her track record of effective leadership and strong communication skills, will enable her to effectively lead our alumni relations efforts,” said Dr. Adrienne King, vice president of university advancement. “Working with our dedicated Murray State University Alumni Association Board of Governors, I’m confident that we will continue to advance our alumni engagement.”

"I am thrilled to become a member of the Racer family and be a part of the storied blue and gold traditions that make Murray State University such a special place. I have a passion for linking people and resources in an effort to bring about positive change,” said McGinnis. “I’m eager to hit the ground running to connect and reconnect with alumni and friends throughout the region, the country and the world. Through shared experiences, common bonds and lifelong loyalty, together we can afford opportunities for Racers past, present and future, while celebrating the successes of our students and alumni worldwide."
