Jill Darnall has been named principal of Lone Oak Elementary School.

Darnall comes to McCracken County Schools from Marshall County Schools, where she has been the principal at Benton Middle School for the last six years. Prior to that, she was a teacher at Sharpe Elementary School.

“I'm honored to have been selected as the new principal of Lone Oak Elementary,” Darnall said.  “I'm excited to be a part of a school with such a rich history of community support with a complete focus on helping each student reach their full potential.”

Darnall holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master of Arts in Education Degree: Reading and Writing, and a Master of Arts in School Administration from Murray State University.

Darnall will replace Dan Pope, who is retiring as Principal after working 31 years in the school system.
