Winners in Paducah's 48-Hour Film Project have been announced, and Socially Present's "Surface to Air" was the dominant entry for 2015.

The competition was held August 14-16, and critic's choices were announced at Maiden Alley Cinema over the weekend. Competitors and fans then had a chance to watch all of the entries. Here are the winners:

1ST PLACE: BEST FILM OF 2015 - Surface to Air by Socially Present

2ND PLACE: BEST FILM OF 2015 - Flag Day by EMP

AUDIENCE FAVORITE - Flag Day by EMP

BEST WRITING - Surface to Air by Socially Present; Flag Day by EMP

BEST DIRECTING - Surface to Air by Socially Present

BEST USE OF LINE - Surface to Air by Socially Present

All films required the same character, Cam or Carrie Trepard, who is a hypochondriac. All films also had to include a wallet as a prop, and use the line,"why did I listen to you?" in their production. 

Teams drew their film genre at random, and had to complete writing, rehearsing, costume and set design, filming, editing, sound design, rendering and final output between 7pm Friday and 7pm Sunday (August 14-16). All films are between 4-7 minutes long.

The Vaccinator

After isolating himself from society, a hypochondriac who hoards meds runs across a helpful nurse.
