The Paducah Symphony Orchestra (PSO) will present concerts on Friday, Oct. 18th for students at Livingston Central and Paducah Tilghman High Schools. These performances, under the direction of Maestro Raffaele Ponti, are part of the PSO's High School Tour.

The High School Tour is designed to engage students in a live orchestra experience outside the concert hall. For many students in attendance, this will be their first time hearing a live symphony orchestra. Maestro Ponti will speak to the students between pieces, relating the music performed to easily recognized films and television shows, such as "ET," "Apollo 13," and "Game of Thrones."

The Livingston Central High School performance will take place at 9 am. The orchestra will perform at Paducah Tilghman High School at approximately 1 pm.

The entire student bodies of both schools will be in attendance, and will be encouraged to attend future PSO concerts at the Carson Center. Students through grade 12 are always eligible to receive free tickets to most* PSO concerts.

The Paducah Symphony Orchestra is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, provides operating support to the Paducah Symphony Orchestra with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
