Noble Park Pool:  The Paducah Parks Services Department will open the Noble Park Pool for the season on Saturday, May 27.  It will be open Memorial Day from 11 am until 5 pm.   During the season, which runs through August 8, the pool will be open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 am until 5 pm and Sunday 1 until 5 pm.  It will be closed to the public on Mondays with the exception of Memorial Day.  It will be open on Independence Day.  Pool admission is $6 for adults and for children at least five years old, $3.50 for children four years old and younger, and $3.50 for seniors.  The Parks Services Department reminds the public that swim diapers are prohibited in the pool.  All swimmers must be toilet trained.  Children in swim diapers can play in the spray pad area. 
 
On Friday evenings beginning June 2, enjoy Family Swim Nights.  The pool will be open 6-8 pm with $3 general admission.  All children must be accompanied by a supervising adult.  The Concession Stand located at the pool also will be open.   For more information about pool rental and swimming lessons, visit www.paducahky.gov/noble-park-pool. 
 
Robert Coleman Sprayground:  The Robert Coleman Sprayground located at Husbands Street and Walter Jetton Boulevard will open for the season on Saturday, May 27.  The free sprayground is open daily from 10 am until 8 pm through Labor Day or until the weather turns chilly.  It will be open Memorial Day.
 
Music in the Gazebo:  From 6 until 8 pm on select Saturdays and some Fridays, enjoy Music in the Gazebo organized by Paducah Main Street.  Bring a lawn chair and sit around the downtown gazebo located at 2nd and Broadway to hear free concerts.  Concerts will be held on the following dates:  May 27, June 2, June 10, June 17, June 24, July 1, July 8, July 15, July 21, July 22, July 29, August 12, August 18, and August 19. The performer scheduled for May 27 is Ben Stalets.

City Hall:  City Hall located at 300 South 5th Street will be closed Monday, May 29 for the Memorial Day holiday.
 
Engineering-Public Works Department:  The City of Paducah Engineering-Public Works Department will not collect brush or limbs on Monday, May 29.  Also, the Compost Facility located at 1560 North 8th Street will be closed.  For those wishing to purchase compost, it will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, May 30.  The trash collection schedule for the Memorial Day week will not change.  If you have questions, contact the Engineering-Public Works Department at 270-444-8567.

Mark your calendar for these upcoming events:

LIVE on the RIVER:  LIVE on the RIVER is a family-friendly atmosphere with musicians, artists, and performers who set up downtown on select Saturdays/holidays during the summer.  During LIVE on the RIVER, Broadway will be closed inside of 3rd Street to the riverfront with entertainment on Broadway and along Market Square and 2nd Street.  The dates for the 2017 LIVE on the RIVER events are Saturday, June 3 (Youth Night); Tuesday, July 4 (Independence Day Celebration); and Saturday, August 5 (Big Brown Truck Pull).  The events are organized by the Parks Department.

RIVERfront Concert Series:  The RIVERfront Concert Series is a free concert series organized by the Parks Services Department featuring up-and-coming musical artists, local and nationwide.  Bring your lawn chairs or enjoy the riverfront steps to enjoy the music on Wilson Stage.  Concerts are on select Thursdays in June, July, and August.  Local artists take the stage from 6 until 7 pm, with the nationally-known artists from 7 until 8:30 pm.  The dates for the 2017 season are June 8, June 22, July 13, July 27, August 3, August 17, and August 31.  The list of artists can be found at www.paducahky.gov/riverfront-concert-series.
