McCracken Library Offers March Events

PADUCAH, KY - Spring events at the McCracken County Public Library are offered to the community at no charge. Below are listed the events scheduled for the month of March:
Peter Bratt's "Dolores" Film Screening
Saturday, Mar 3, 3 - 5 pm
This screening marks both Women's History Month and Cesar Chavez Day.
With intimate and unprecedented access, Peter Bratt's film tells the story of Dolores Huerta, among the most important yet least-known activists in American history. Co-founder of the first farm workers union with Chavez, she tirelessly led the fight for racial and labor justice, becoming one of the most defiant feminists of the 20th century.
This screening is co-sponsored by the Western Kentucky Chapter of Kentuckians for the Commonwealth and ACLU-KY.
Chickens 101
Thursday, Mar 8, 7 - 8 pm
Presented by Melinda Winchester, Winchester Farms.
Winchester farm was established in 2010, specializing in raising rare Heritage Breed chickens.

With Eddie Coffey & Josh Coffey
The talented father-son duo will set up on the first floor on St. Patrick's Day and play traditional songs from Ireland.
Cyber Security 101
Thursday, Mar 22, 7 - 8 pm
Presented by Wes Spencer, nationally recognized information security professional and Chief Information Security Officer at Perch Security.
Assisted by Nick Johnson, Systems Administrator, FNB Bank
Evenings Upstairs - Andrew Jackson, Native American Removal, and the Trail of Tears
