Spencer says the closure is to comply with social distancing guidelines.
As a reminder, Paducah's other parks are open but access is temporarily restricted to specific features.
Amenities that have gate enclosures including the dog park, skate park, and the Noble Park tennis and basketball courts will be closed to the public. Parks features that do not have fencing including playgrounds will have caution tape and signage to inform the public that access is restricted.
Plus, the parks are closed daily at sunset.
Parks & Recreation Director Mark Thompson said, “We are not closing the parks in Paducah and are encouraging passive enjoyment of the outdoors and the green spaces at our parks while implementing social distancing standards.”
