Lourdes Makes 'Health Systems to Know' List
By Suzanne Farmer, Lourdes Hospital
PADUCAH, KY - Becker’s Hospital Review has named Catholic Health Partners to “100 Integrated Health Systems to Know,” a list based on health systems’ range and coordination of healthcare services. Lourdes is one of seven progressive health networks inside Catholic Health Partners.
The health systems listed focus on the continuum of care, from wellness and preventive services to urgent care, inpatient care, outpatient care, hospice, health plan offerings and more. Many of these health systems have also demonstrated innovation through participation in care and payment reform initiatives, such as Accountable Care Organizations.
Becker’s wrote: “Catholic Health Partners includes 24 hospitals in addition to long-term care facilities, home health agencies and nearly 5,600 affiliated physicians. CHP owns HealthSpan, a preferred provider organization that offers health benefits management, wellness and care management programs, among other services. CHP is currently implementing CarePATH, a comprehensive electronic heath record system, across all of its facilities.”
The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team selected health systems based on rankings by healthcare analytics company IMS Health, as well as health systems' financial, clinical and operational strength. The list is not an endorsement of included health systems or associated healthcare providers, and organizations cannot pay for inclusion on this list.
