Doggie Easter Bone Hunt in Murray
MURRAY, KY - Spend some quality time with your four-legged best friend at the Humane Society of Calloway County’s 2nd annual Doggie Bone Hunt Saturday, March 31, at 2 pm, at the Murray-Calloway County Central Park Courthouse Pavilion.
This event is the canine equivalent of an Easter egg hunt as the dogs sniff out treats and prizes. Separate areas for large and small dogs will allow the canines to ‘hunt’ doggie bones and plastic eggs with doggie bones, cookies and other special treats and prizes.
For a $5 donation per dog, dogs will receive the treats they find. If the dog touches their nose to a treat or egg during the hunt, their person can pick it up and put it in their basket. The dog’s handler will receive an entry into a drawing for an Easter basket.
The Easter Bunny will be on hand for photographs. For a $10 donation to the Humane Society, professional photographer Crystal Rogers will take a 5x7 photograph of your dog(s) and family with the Easter Bunny.
Professional groomer Lee Ann Pullen will be ready to give your dog a new look for spring with nail color, extensions, ear bling and more for a donation to the Humane Society.Humane Society volunteers will microchip pets for $10 and custom pet ID tag can be engraved for $3 while you wait.
Bring your dog if he or she enjoys being around people and other dogs. Your dog must be on a leash no longer than six feet in length.
If the weather on March 31 is rainy or stormy, the event will be cancelled for 2012 and rescheduled for 2013.
