Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting & Business Celebration

PADUCAH, KY - The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce will have its Annual Meeting and Business Celebration on January 27, at 6 pm, at the Julian Carroll Convention Center. The presenting sponsors are Lourdes and CSI. The theme for this year is Making A Difference.   

Local businesses and citizens will be recognized with the Chamber’s annual awards including Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.  New this year is the Non-Profit Award to be presented with a $1,000 cash award to a non-profit organization.     

Bruce Wilcox with Henry A. Petter Supply and 2016 Chair of the Paducah Chamber Board will pass the gavel to the 2017 Chair of the Chamber Board Tammy Zimmerman, President/CEO of Payment Plus.  New officers and board members will be recognized.  

Making a Difference is the theme for the evening and will be the message from the guest speaker Steve Gilliland.  Recognized as a master storyteller and comedian, Gilliland will focus on how to positively influence people in every imaginable way.  He centers his message on three empowering dynamics:  Purpose - It drives you!; Passion - It fuels you!; and Pride – It defines you! 

As a member of the Speaker Hall of Fame, an honor bestowed on only 227 men and women worldwide, he can be heard daily on SiriusXM Radio’s Laugh USA. He is a prolific, accomplished author, evidenced by four of his books, including Making a Difference, perennially making the publisher’s bestseller list and his being named Author of the Year. He was named one of the Top 10 Motivational Speakers in 2015 by espeakers. He built a multimillion-dollar company from the ground up, which the Pittsburgh Business-Times named one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the region.
The emcees for the evening are Suzanne Farmer with Lourdes and local TV news anchor, Mike Mallory. The dinner will include strolling stations featuring a variety of food selections. 

The reservation deadline is January 18, by 5 pm. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Tickets are: $75/members; $125/non-members.  Corporate sponsorships or reserved tables are available by contacting the Chamber.
